Tolima Coffee, Grown Between Snow and Sky
Named after the indigenous Pijao word Dulima or Tulima, meaning “Snow River” or “Cloud,” Tolima is a region of striking natural beauty and climatic diversity. Ranging from glacial zones at 5,000 meters above sea level to warm, fertile valleys at 400 meters, Tolima’s dramatic altitudes and microclimates contribute to its unique coffee profiles.
As the third-largest coffee-producing region in Colombia, Tolima is celebrated for its rich, nuanced beans. The excellence of its coffee is shaped by a combination of high altitudes, volcanic soils, and optimal rainfall—conditions that foster slow bean development and deep flavour complexity.
Each cup of Tolima coffee offers a taste of Colombia’s diverse terroir and the dedication of the farmers who cultivate it.
