The altitude for La Primavera tops out at 2000 meters, the plantain trees are an effective means of shade and the rain is persistent throughout the year. Lots of fresh cold water springs which create a slightly longer fermentation process. This makes for a fuller fruit based cup. Buttery sweet aroma with building fruity tones. As the cup cools the coffee remains sweet with light fruits and hints of nectarine and apricot.
FG - Farm Gate is a pricing program in which the coffee price is negotiated directly with the farmer, at the 'farm gate'. This is usually around 150% of the fair trade price.
