Summer is on the way, finally!
As the temperature is changing, I was looking for a new way to drink one of my favourite blends of coffee. I wasn’t feeling an iced latte, so I decided to pimp a simple banana milkshake with a little Crosby Coffee magic.
This recipe is simple and versatile, as you can easily make it vegan or dairy based. I went the vegan route, using a dairy free ice cream and Oatly Barista milk, which we stock (you can find it here).
So, I started off with making a cup of coffee using our amazing Ten86 blend, which is full of subtly sweet and well-balanced flavours. You can adjust the recipe by using any of our coffees, depending on your preference. I weighed out 15 grams of coffee, 300g of water brewed it using my cafetiere for 4.30 minutes. Once the coffee was ready, I measured out 100g and put it to one side for the milkshake. Feel free to drink the rest whilst making this milkshake!
The ingredients for this milkshake are:
These ingredients are just a guide, as I tweak the recipe each time I make it, depending on how strong I want the coffee or banana to taste. Don’t be afraid to play around with your measurements. or altering the coffee blend to your personal favourite!
After you have all your ingredients, it’s as simple as throwing them in a blender and whizzing until they are all mixed together.
Then, pour it into a glass and enjoy!
